A dog bed is more than just a comfortable place for your best friend to sleep. It’s an important place of refuge, a place to recover after activity, and a training tool. Every dog needs a “den,” where they can get away from life’s stresses and just relax.

Filmed across southwestern Vermont, this video highlights the importance of a dog bed from the perspective of a variety of dogs and owners.

Bromley is an integral part of the Galloway family, and he's the perfect playmate for two energetic young boys. When a terrible accident leaves the dog injured and everyone unsure of what the future holds, they fear the worst. But Bromley's resilience and zest for life brings them all back to their "happy place," demonstrating once again how the love of a dog--and a dog's love--can bind a family together.

Training is best described as building a bond and a new line of communication with your dog. It's not about party tricks or impressing your friends. Rather we are helping them develop life skills that will aid them in being great canine citizens in their human world.

This series of 10 videos was shot down south at Orvis Pursell Farms in Sylacauga, Alabama. Working with on-screen talent (both human and dog) is a specialty of mine and helps let Melinda’s points about dog training shine through.

Orvis Asheville store manager Sav Sankaran demonstrates his favorite double-nymph rig for fishing under an indicator in fall. A heavy stonefly imitation--such as an Pat's Rubberleg Stone--will get the flies down in the water column quickly. As a dropper pattern, Sav chooses a smaller beadhead pattern. For an indicator, he uses an Airlock Indicator because it is easy to put on, take off, and reposition, and it doesn't kink your leader.

Each autumn, the mountains of Vermont explode into color, drawing “leaf peepers” from around the world. The brilliant hillsides also add a rich backdrop to a morning paddle on Lake Shaftsbury for Maggie, Henry, and Gilly. The amazing tapestry occurs when the chlorophyll in the leaves of deciduous trees breaks down due to changes in temperature and the amount of sunlight during the day. The shimmering reds, oranges, and yellows are pigments that already existed in the leaves but were covered by the green of chlorophyll. As the green begins to dissolve, the other pigments shine through.

This drone shot ended up on a Times Square billboard, giving pause amidst the utter chaos and clamor of New York City

These videos are the most challenging series of commercials I have ever created. I started knowing nothing about stop-motion, and ended up what I would definitively call a stop-motion professional. Thank you to Orvis for bearing with me through countless adjustments, and late nights getting everything to line up in the editor. I’m excited to offer this intricate, and detailed method of product photography.

Located near Park City and Salt Lake City, this Utah fly fishing lodge blew away my expectations for fall scenery and trout species diversity. 5 different species of trout on display everywhere from shallow ponds to mountain streams. I loved every minute spent in the gorgeous hills of the Uinta basin, and came away with some incredible footage.

Few things are more frustrating than being on the water and not knowing where to find the fly you want. Organizing your fly boxes is one of the best uses of your time before the season opens. Orvis associates Trent and Paige share some helpful tips for ensuring that everything is organized in such a way that you can quickly lay your hands of the fly you need while the fish are still hungry.
